DROP Rules
1. What you can upload
Only songs you hold the rights to. Files up to 150MB. After uploading you pick a 30-second section to register, and the original file is deleted right after registration. An account can upload only under its approved artist name.
2. When it goes public
Uploaded songs go public all at once once a day, at 9:00 PM Korea Standard Time (21:00 KST, UTC+9). A song uploaded after that goes public in the next round. A song stays public for 24 hours and is gone when the next round starts.
3. How many a day
You can upload up to 3 songs a day (Korea Standard Time). Re-uploading a song that has come down counts as one. A song deleted before it goes public does not count.
4. What you can change while public
Before a song goes public you can change or delete anything. Once it is public, the title and artist name cannot be changed (contact us for typos); only the genre, region, link, release status, and pitch can. A public song is "taken down" instead of deleted, and the clip of a song taken down is erased.
5. When someone digs it
When someone digs a public song, the song moves to POOL and stays there. A song that has moved cannot be taken down or re-uploaded; only its clip can be withdrawn (the digs and notes remain). Once the song is released, you can send its release link to have it confirmed.
6. Re-uploading a song that came down
A song that came down because no one dug it can be re-uploaded with one button. It counts toward the daily limit (3 songs). A song you took down yourself has to be uploaded again as a file.
7. Storage and deletion
A song that has come down is kept for 30 days from the day it last came down. If you do not re-upload it within that time, the clip and the upload record are deleted; the upload screen shows this from 7 days before deletion. Re-uploading restarts the 30 days. Songs that moved to POOL and songs taken down after a report are not deleted.
8. Reports and takedowns
A song may be reported if it belongs to someone else or if the clip and the link point to different songs. Reports are made with the report button on the clip screen. When a report comes in, the song stops being public until it is reviewed; if the report is confirmed, the song comes down and cannot be re-uploaded.
9. If you delete your account
Songs not yet public are deleted, public songs come down, and for songs that moved to POOL only the clip comes down — the digs remain.
